PRECIFAC investigates Wimal’s housing frauds

The Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges (PRECIFAC) noted it has already found out frauds of the former Minister of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities, National Freedom Front Leader and MP Wimal Weerawansa during his tenure in office. 

The PRECIFAC alleged he had given four houses out of five from Mattegoda Housing Scheme and one house from Maligawatta Housing Scheme to his closet relatives by abusing the powers of then ministerial position. The PRECIFAC expects to conduct further inquiries regarding the case.
