The passing out parade of 839 Police officers, who received training at Sri Lanka Police College, was held recently at Aluwihare Grounds at Sri Lanka Police College under the leadership of Secretary to the Ministry of Law & Order, Major General (Rtd.) Nanda Mallawarachchi.
204 Sub Inspectors of Police, 291 Police Constables, 344 Police Constable Drivers passed out during this passing out ceremony. Inspector General of Police N.K. Illangakoon, Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police (Administration), Gamini Navarathna, Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police – (Western Province) Anura Senanayaka, Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police (Security Range) S.M. Wickramasinghe, Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police (Southern Province) C.D. Wickramarathna, a number of Deputy Inspectors General of Police, Senior Superintendents of Police, other Police Officers and the parents and relatives of the newly recruited Police officers participated in this grand occasion.
