The United National Party (UNP) is to move a motion for the setting up of a Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) to probe the mess up in the 2011 GCE Advanced level examination results.
Chief Opposition Whip John Amaratunga says the motion seeking the setting up of the PSC would be handed over to Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa.
Amaratunga has explained that the PSC would study the formula used to calculate the Z- scores and ways to avoid another mess up in examination results.
Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremasinghe had made a special statement in Parliament yesterday about the mess-up in the A/Level results. He was expected to speak about the controversial Z-scores as well.
