The parliament will debate the impeachment motion against Chief Justice Dr. Shirani Bandaranayake on 10th and 11th of January next year, a government spokesman said.
Parliament will reconvene for the New Year after the holiday break on January 8th. The controversial poverty alleviation bill, Divineguma Bill will be taken up for debated on the first session of the New Year.
The opposition will be debating the Divinaguma bill as an adjournment debate on the 9th of January.
