New French Ambassador presents credentials to President Sirisena

The new Ambassador of France to Sri Lanka, Jean-Marin Schuh, last week made his nomination official by presenting his credentials to President Maithripala Sirisena, during a formal ceremony at the Presidential Secretariat.
A career diplomat, he last served as the Deputy Director for the Asia and Oceania Department of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development from 2012 to 2015. For over 25 years, he has specialised in Asia during his terms in the French diplomatic network in China, India, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
A Knight in the National Order of Merit, Schuh graduated from the Institute of Political Studies and from the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilisations in Paris, France.
