New Chief of Staff of Army assumes office

The newly-appointed Chief of Staff (CoS) of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General Mahesh Senanayake, assumed office yesterday at the Army Headquarters.

He is the 50th Chief of Staff of the Army after the Sri Lanka Army was created in 1949.
