Navy arrests 26 Indian fishermen for poaching

The Navy says it had arrested 26 Indian fishermen and also seized three Indian fishing trawlers poaching in Sri Lankan waters in the seas North of Point Pedro.

The arrested fishermen and trawlers were brought to the Kankasathurai harbour and handed over to the officials of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in Kankasanthurai for onward action. (Colombo Gazette)
