The Government is planning to establish a national policy to create a drug-free Sri Lanka.
A meeting was held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday with regard to this policy.
The program will be implemented in keeping with the pledge by the Government to the people to protect future generations from the menace of drugs.
The President further said that the new Government is paying serious attention to eradicating the drug menace which has plagued society for so long.
