The program for granting housing assistance towards the development of the Divi Neguma recipients’ homes are being launched successfully throughout the island.
The handing over of housing assistance to Divi Neguma families of the Kalutara District took place under the patronage of Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena. Among those present were officials of the Divi Neguma Department and the people’s representatives of the area.
Meanwhile, the granting of housing assistance to 1000 Divi Neguma recipients of the Udugama Zone in Baddegama took place under the auspices of Deputy Minister Nishantha Muthuhettigama.
Divi Neguma recipients belonging to the Mahiyangana Divisional Secretariat also received housing assistance at the Cultural Centre in Mahiyangana. It took place with the participation of MP Thenuka Vidanagamage.
The indigenous community in Dambana also received the Divi Neguma housing assistance with Rs. 10 million being distributed among 378 recipients. Goods for livelihood projects were also distributed among the recipients of houses.
