Former president Mahinda Rajapaksa’s motorcade was involved in an accident yesterday while it was travelling from Tangalle to Colombo.
A vehicle which was part of the convoy collided with a motorcycle injuring two people. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and was to be produced before a magistrate.
Rajapaksa said that his security personnel took measures to avert what could have been a major accident. (Colombo Gazette)
