Minister of Highways and Investment Promotion Kabir Hashim met with former Japanese Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Tetsuro Yano yesterday. Discussing the longstanding relations both Sri Lanka and the UNP have enjoyed with Japan, the Minister expressed his desire to expand Japan’s investments in Sri Lanka. In turn the former Japanese Minister suggested that Japan will continue to maintain a close relationship with Sri Lanka and explore new avenues of investment in the country.
