K.R. Ravindran first Lankan to be nominated as Rotary International President

For the first time in the history of Rotary International, Sri Lanka’s K.R. Ravindran of the Rotary Club of Colombo was nominated as the Rotary International President at the Rotary International Convention held at the Sydney Olympic Park. The Rotary International Convention which was attended by 27,000 people from all over the world with 200 participants from Sri Lanka, was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Australia and Premier of New South Wales. Ambassador Bandula Jayasekara, Consul General of New South Wales and Queensland joined Ravi and his wife Vanathi to share the proud moment for Sri Lanka. Congratulations to Ravi and his wife Vanathi who will lead 1.2 million Rotarians from all over the world.
