Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa has assured dual citizenship to Sri Lankan Tamils living for years in Tamil Nadu.
She has given the assurance in her political party election manifesto ahead of the Assembly elections.
The chief minister has also assured that measures will be taken to retrieve Katchatheevu from Sri Lanka. (Colombo Gazette)
