Japanese Mahayana Buddhist delegation arrives in Sri Lanka

A Buddhist delegation, lead by Shitara Minoru, from the Shinyo-En Temple which is the biggest Mahayana temple in Japan arrived on 15 August to make the necessary arrangements for the arrival of their leader Her Holiness Madam Shinso Ito, who is the Chief Priest of the Shinyo-En temple accompanied by 120 members on 18 August. The delegation is visiting Sri Lanka on an invitation extended by the Mahanayaka Thero of the Asgiriya Chapter and the Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Japan.
