Invoking peace on the President

Devotees from all over Sri Lanka are on a pada yathra to the Holy Iyappan Temple in Sabarimalai in Kerala State to invoke blessings on President Mahinda Rajapaksa for bringing peace and harmony to this country.

The procession started from Kochchikade Sivan Temple and Mayurapath Amman Temple, and on its way was received by the President at Temple Trees where Vishnu Namboodri and Bala Shankara Ravi Sharma, both priests from Kerala, offered ‘blessed prasadam’ to the President.  The pada yathra was led by the trustees of the Sri Mayurapathy Amman Temple, the Anand Iyappan Temple and all Guru swamies of the Iyappan Yatra Group - Pix by Chandana Perera
