Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday on a three-day visit.
The Indian Air Force has said that Air Chief Marshal Raha’s visit, planned several months ago, is a goodwill visit to the country and that the visit is aimed at boosting bilateral military ties.
During the visit, Raha is expected to call on President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa. He will also meet with the chiefs of the three armed forces and other senior political and military officials.
Raha will get the opportunity to visit a couple of Sri Lankan Air Force’s combat squadron at their air bases during his stay, apart from inspecting some of their training facilities, India’s Express News Service reported.
