Nineteen Sri Lankan fishermen were arrested by Indian Coast Guard officials yesterday on the charge of illegally fishing in Indian waters.
According to the Hindu Newspaper reports, the 19 fishermen who travelled in four boats were apprehended and held for crossing the Indian Maritime Boundary Line.
Further it was reported that after interrogation the arrested fishermen were handed over to the Tuticorin Marine Police yesterday night for further course of action.
