Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka Commissioner Hamid Ghazali Hussain met representatives of the clergy, Civil Society Organizations (CSO), Government officials, professionals and journalists in Matara to gather their views on formulating HRCSL’s strategic plan for the next three years.
There were many constructive ideas presented while the most spoken setback of HRCSL was that there were instances where its recommendations were not carried out.
It was suggested that it would be better if violators were compelled to carry out the recommendations made by HRCSL.
