Premakumar Gunaratnam
The Kegalle Magistrate Court Acting Magistrate Malani Jayawardena yesterday ordered the re-remand of the Frontline Socialist Party political committee member Premakumar Gunaratnam till 30 December.
Gunaratnam was arrested at Anguruwella by the Kegalle Police on 4 November when he was at his mother’s house. He was sent to remand due to staying in Sri Lanka without a visa.
The Kegalle Court rejected the bail plea of Gunaratnam when he was produced to the court on 27 November. He has been held in remand custody that day since.
