Four people were killed and several others were injured when a van they were travelling in went down a precipice in Matale this evening. The Police said that the van had veered off the Matale-Alkaduwa road and went some 150 feet down the precipice.
At least 13 people who were injured in the accident were admitted to hospital. (Colombo Gazette)
