Former president Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga yesterday said that there is little difference in the LTTE extremism in the north and Sinhala extremism in the South.
“It is the same. Both groups think alike in a destructive manner,” she said at an event held to promote reconciliation in Gamapaha.
Kumarathunga accepted that there had been unrest. However she refrained from commenting on the controversial Avaa group, stating that does not know who created it but identified them to be an extremist outfit, adding that she had no information to confirm any speculations regarding creator of the group.
