Lawyers appearing on behalf of former Chief Justice Shirani Bandaranayake, yesterday raised concerns over two commissioners investigating bribery allegations against her.
The lawyers had said that the two commissioners were biased, a lawyer appearing on behalf of the former Chief Justice said.
This was said when Bandaranayake appeared before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.
Her lawyers also questioned the commission as to who had filed the allegations against her for investigations to be launched.
Details regarding her assets had been produced to the Commission claiming it was beyond the means of an ordinary public servant.
The impeached Chief Justice had made several appearances before the Commission this year. (Colombo Gazette)
