The enjoining order issued against the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) preventing them from holding the Central Committee (CC) meeting without the consent of President Maithripala Sirisena, has been extended till 24 August.
The Colombo District Court extended the enjoining order when the case was heard yesterday. A petition had earlier been filed against a CC meeting being held without the consent of President Sirisena as he was the current leader of the SLFP.
