Court orders prison to send Fonseka for physiotherapy

Colombo High Court yesterday ordered the prison officials to provide physiotherapy to the former army commander serving a jail term.

The Colombo High Court judges of trial-at-bar, ordered the Superintendent of the Prisons to produce former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka, before Consultant Chest Physician Vajira Tennakoon for a further two weeks of physiotherapy, local newspaper Daily Mirror reported.

The prison official has told the court the physician has made a request to continue the physiotherapy for the 60-year-old Fonseka for another two weeks.
