The Customs Revenue Task Force yesterday detected a container consisting of contraband cigarettes valued at Rs. 125 million, imported from Dubai declared as coriander.
The container which had arrived from Dubai on 5 May was detained on suspicion and was inspected yesterday.
Deputy Customs Director Parakrama Basnayake said this was the second container load of cigarettes imported from Dubai this year. Pic by Kushan Pathiraja
