Complaint filed at Bribery Commission against Bathiudeen

A complaint was filed at the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery and Corruption yesterday by the Sinhala National Front against the newly appointed Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen for allegedly obtaining land within the Wilpattu National Park.

According to reports, the Front alleges that the minister had illegally obtained lands in the Wilpattu area for local and foreign individuals. Meanwhile, a complaint was also lodged at the Bribery Commission against Bathiudeen earlier this month accusing him of illegally acquiring money from a Mannar resident.
