Commemoration of M.H.M. Ashraff today

The 11th commemoration event of late M.H.M. Ashraff, former Minister and founder leader of Sri Lanka Muslim Congress will be held at New Town Hall, Colombo 7 at 6 p.m. on Friday (16) commencing with a prayer session.

SLMC Leader, Justice Minister Rauff Hakeem will preside at the occasion while Kampavaruthi Jayaraj a prominent Tamil scholar will deliver commemoration oration on Late Ashraff.

A book titled “Memories of Ashraff will also be released at the event. In the past volumes Ashraff’s parliamentary speeches were published annually on this day.

Parliamentarians, provincial councilors, members of local authorities and the general public will participate at the event.
