UNP Mayoral Candidate for Colombo A.J.M. Muzammil in a statement extended Eid Mubarak wishes.
‘EID MUBARAK’ to all our brethren in Sri Lanka and around the world at the conclusion of the Holy month of Ramadan. At this decisive period in the history of our country, I urge all of you to join in celebration and selflessly pursue the path of reconciliation. As Muslims, our faith requires us to send a resounding message of unity and cohesion to people of all faiths and help to establish a society where justice and peace prevail,” Muzammil’s statement said.
“On the canvas of life we sometimes go off colour, but as long as people like you stay together, united in a changing world, adding the correct perceptions and right shades, life will go on to be a rainbow for one and all. Peace and forgiveness are the true spirit of EID, the corner stone of our faith and though I cannot be with you all, a prayer can go where I can’t go, so remember that I will be united with you in mind and heart on this blessed day. From home to home, from heart to heart, may Almighty Allah fill your lives with happiness, your hearts with love, your souls with spiritual blessings and your minds with wisdom to guide you on your way. May the warmth and joy of EID bring us closer to each other,” Muzammil added.
