Voters who do not get their polling cards before 10 August by post would be able to obtain their polling cards from the post office by establishing their identity.
Post Master General PMG) Rohana Ariyaratne said that those who do not receive their polling cards have to produce their National Identity Card to prove their identity. He stated that the Postal Department would take measures to post all the polling cards leaving ample time for them to reach the voters before 10 August.
He added that he received a consignment of polling cards from the Government Printer and he commenced posting them yesterday.
