The Chief Observer of the European Union Election Observation Mission to Sri Lanka Cristian Preda travelled to the Central Province yesterday to meet with the District Returning Officer and with the Coordinator of the Movement for Free and Fair Elections (MFFE) in Kandy.
Preda has previously visited the Northern Province, on 22 July, the Southern Province, on 13 August, and Sabaragamuwa, on 14 August, to meet with election stakeholders.
The European Union Election Observation Mission to Sri Lanka was established on 15 July, following an invitation from the Commissioner of Elections. The mission is made up of over 85 observers deployed in all 22 electoral districts.
The Chief Observer of European Union Election Observation Mission, Cristian Preda, will observe the voting in Colombo on election day. Among other polling stations, he will visit: 10:00 am - College House, University of Colombo, Colombo 03. Kumarathunga Munidasa Mawatha.
The European Union Election Observation Mission to Sri Lanka 2015 for the Parliamentary elections was launched on 15 July, following an invitation from the Commissioner of Elections. The mission is made up of over 85 observers, who are deployed in all 22 electoral districts.
