A large number of youth have gathered anxiously since yesterday morning near Bambalapitiya Police Field Headquarters to get an application for a job in Korea.

There was chaos among the prospective applicants and the Police had to intervene in controlling the crowd.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau announced that the Korean language test admissions will be issued to all applicants until August 11 from 29 centers island-wide and applicants do not need to come to Colombo to take the test.

Each year, around 9,000 Sri Lankan youth get opportunity to get a job in Korea for a higher pay compared to what is paid in the homeland to work in that caliber.

These jobs are given under an agreement between the governments of Sri Lanka and Korea.
