Candlelight vigil held in Colombo for victims of Peshawar terrorist attack

A candlelight vigil was organised by Sri Lankans and expat Pakistanis based in Sri Lanka to express solidarity with the victims of the Peshawar school carnage. A large number of people representing a cross section of society, including children, participated in this memorial ceremony. The High Commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka, Qasim Qureshi, officers of the Pakistan High Commission and their families of also attended the vigil. The speakers on the occasion strongly condemned the brutal terrorist attack and demanded that the ongoing war on terror should be continued through to its logical end.
