The Bribery Commission yesterday filed action against Namal Rajapaksa in the Supreme Court under section 20 of the Bribery Act - contempt of commission - by not appearing before the commission appropriately to provide statements.
The action has been filed by the director General of the Commission under the provision ‘contempt’. The commission alleged that MP Namal Rajapaksa had not appeared before the commission, disregarding the summons sent by the commission to record statements.
