Bribery and Public Service Commission Heads nominated

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has nominated Heads and Members to the new Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption and the new Public Service Commission, www.news.lk  reported yesterday quoting parliamentary sources.

Retired Supreme Court Judge Jagath de S. Balapatabendi has been named to head the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption while Prof. Dayasiri Fernando (Gastroenterologist) has been named to head the Public Service Commission.

The Parliamentary Council headed by the Speaker is scheduled to meet on Thursday, 12 May to give in their observations.
