Bribery and corruption complaint received against GMOA Chief

The Chairman of the Bribery or Corruption Commission Jagath Balapatabendi told media that the Commission had received a complaint against the chairman of the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) Anuruddha Padeniya.

The Commission made the clarification in response to the allegations of the GMOA that a personal file of Padeniya was taken away by the Commission without a complaint against him.  The Chairman of the Commission said that the privacy of the complainants is safeguarded.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has said that the personal file of Doctor Padeniya was in their custody.
