Belarusian Parliamentary delegation in Sri Lanka on a visit

A Parliamentary delegation of Belarus led by Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko has started an official visit to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, the program of which envisages meetings with the country’s authorities, BelTA learnt from the press service of the House of Representatives.
The Belarusian delegation will hold meetings with the President, the Prime Minister, the Speaker, and the Foreign Minister of Sri Lanka, the press service said. The parties are expected to discuss the Belarus-Sri Lanka relations, including strengthening of inter-parliamentary ties and the ways to intensify trade and economic cooperation. Belarusian MPs will take part in an official opening ceremony of the Belarusian-Sri Lankan business forum.
According to the House of Representatives, the delegation will comprise Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to India with concurrent accreditation to Sri Lanka Vitaly Prima, Deputy Industry Minister Gennady Svidersky, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov, Director General of the Minsk Tractor Plant Fyodor Domotenko, representatives of MAZ and Belshina Trading House.
