Austrians join Sri Lankans to remember 10th Anniversary of Asian Tsunami

On 23 December 2014, Sri Lankans and Austrians gathered at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Vienna to mark the 10th anniversary of the Asian Tsunami that occurred on 26 December 2004.
Ambassador and Director General in the Austrian Foreign Ministry Elisabeth Tichy-Fisslberger, Member of the City Council of Vienna Omar Al-Rawi and Ambassador of Sri Lanka ALA Azeez led the commemoration. The event commenced with the lighting of a lamp and observance of two minutes silence in memory of those who lost their lives in this tragedy.
