A group of Tamil National Alliance (TNA) members is looking to remove Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran from the party due to his attempts to form a separate political party while holding ministerial portfolio under the TNA, political sources said.
However, one of the constituent parties of the TNA, the Eelam People’s Revolutionary Liberation Front (EPRLF), claimed that decision was not collective and had been individually taken by the Illankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK). (CG)
