Asha arrives

Legendary Indian singer Asha Bhosle was extended a grand welcome yesterday by the Cinnamon Grand management and staff. Here, Bhosle lights the traditional oil lamp at the hotel. Director Sales and Marketing Chris Quyn and Santhush Weeraman look on. Bhosle is one of the best-known and highly regarded Hindi playback singers in India with over 12,000 songs to her credit. She is in Sri Lanka on the invitation of mega Sri Lankan singers Bathiya and Santhush, to perform at a concert this Friday at the Sugathadasa indoor stadium. Cinnamon Grand is the host hotel.
