The men, including former State Pharmaceutical Corporation Chairman Rumy Mohomad, who fronted a controversial press conference claiming to be ‘white van drivers’ prior to the Presidential Elections with UNP MP Dr. Rajitha Senaratne were yesterday granted bail by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.

Dr. Senaratne’s then Secretary and State Pharmaceutical Corporation former Chairman Rumi Mohamed was also released on bail. Rumi was arrested shortly after Senarathna was arrested at his hospital bedside by the Police. He too was granted bail by the court.

The three suspects were arrested after an investigation was launched to find out if the two alleged drivers were involved in white van disappearances.
