A 12-member delegation of Sri Lankan Government officers is visiting Pakistan from 14 to 21 January, organised by the High Commission of Pakistan, Colombo, in collaboration with Pakistan’s prestigious National School of Public Policy.
The delegation members paid a courtesy call on High Commissioner of Pakistan, Major General (R) Dr. Shahid Ahmad Hashmat at the High Commission’s premises.
The High Commissioner said that this visit would provide a great opportunity to Sri Lankan officers to gain comprehensive knowledge about Pakistan’s civil services structure and policy formulation process. He underscored that such visits would not only enhance people-to-people contact but would also amplify the eminence of the civil services in the two countries.
The delegation members, apart from visiting Government institutions in Pakistan, will also visit Lahore and Taxila Museums, different educational institutions and Wahgah Border to observe the flag hoisting ceremony. The delegation will also meet high-ranking Government dignitaries during their stay at Pakistan.
