Sri Lanka and Japan on Friday concluded a fresh round of bilateral consultation to further mutual cooperation.
The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral political, economic and defence cooperation as well as strengthening people to people ties. Foreign Affairs Secretary Aruni Wijewardane led bilateral consultations with a senior delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan led by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Southwest and Southeast Asia Affairs Division Assistant Minister Kano Takehiro.
The Sri Lanka delegation included Central Bank Governor Dr. P. Nandalal Weerasinghe, Secretary to the Treasury Mahinda Siriwardena and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Defence and Sri Lanka Navy.
