The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) is organising an event to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
The event will be held under the theme ‘The world made anew: The UDHR in our lives; Child and youth reflections’ to mark International Human Rights Day on 10 December. UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative Hanna Singer will be the Chief Guest of the event.
This year’s event will focus on youth and children who will share what the UDHR means to them, while a cultural program will emphasise the importance of UDHR to diverse groups in society. The event will take place on Monday (10 December) from 9.30 a.m. to 12.45 p.m. at the Ruby Hall of the BMICH, Colombo 7.
