Scheduled power cuts to continue despite rain

15-18 November 2-hour power cut countrywide

The electricity regulator yesterday announced that a two-hour power cut would be imposed countrywide till 18 November despite the torrential rains.

As per the schedule, the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka has approved the request made by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) for one hour of power disruption during the day and another hour during night-time for 20 groups A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V and W.
