A meeting between Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa took place yesterday at the Office of the Opposition Leader.
The situation Sri Lanka is facing at the moment was taken into lengthy consideration at the meeting where Opposition Leader called on the Chinese Ambassador to extend hands of brotherhood to Sri Lanka at this critical juncture.
The Opposition Leader said that priority will be given in his administration to govern the country in a transparent manner and to eradicate bribery, corruption and repression.
The Opposition Leader said that China’s generous support is essential for Sri Lanka’s recovery from the current predicament and called on the Ambassador to intervene.
Samagi Jana Balawegaya Member of Parliament Dr. Harsha de Silva was also present at the occasion.
