SL and Cyprus conclude 1st round of negotiations

Agreement for Elimination of Double Taxation 

 

A four-member delegation headed by Commissioner General of Inland Revenue of Sri Lanka A.N. Guruge successfully concluded the first round of negotiations on the Agreement for Elimination of Double Taxation between Sri Lanka and Cyprus from 29-31 October in Nicosia, Cyprus. Both sides, considering the future potential of promotion of trade, investment and commercial partnerships between the two countries, agreed to finalise the long pending agreement during the final round of negotiations to be held in February next year in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka Consulate General in Cyprus, in consultation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, coordinated the process.
