Several political parties yesterday confirmed that they will boycott the All-Party Conference scheduled for tomorrow.
Sri Lanka’s main Opposition Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB) said it will boycott the All-Party Conference called by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on 23 March.
SJB National Organiser Tissa Attanayake said that they think it is just another politically motivated, media stunt.
Ceylon Workers Congress (CWC) also said that it would boycott the conference, but the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) said it will participate at the All-Party Conference.
The All-Party Conference was organised following a request made by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP). All political parties representing the Parliament have been informed in writing to attend the conference.
