Parliamentarian S.B. Dissanayake said that he was ashamed of the behaviour of legislators in Parliament yesterday.
“The behaviour of the MPs was shameful and sad. This is not the way we should solve problems. Despite different political opinions, at end of the day we are all good friends. We shouldn’t behave like animals within a supreme institution like the Parliament,” he told journalists in Colombo.
He also claimed that two former Deputy Ministers had brought two knives into the chamber which caused injuries to Dilum Amunugama and Ananda Aluthgamage.
