The Road Development Authority (RDA) Chairman and Central Expressway Project Director and Accountant, along with officials of the Ministry of Highways, have been summoned to appear before the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) today.
The Committee will meet today and discuss the special audit report on the feasibility study and procurement activities of the Central Expressway project.
COPE Chairman MP Charitha Herath said the proceedings of the Committee, which were suspended due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic would recommence, but the meetings would be held with the minimum participation of the officials, in compliance with the health guidelines.
No more than seven officials would be summoned at a time before COPE until the COVID-19 situation improved, Herath added.
