The Pathfinder Foundation and the Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD), a prominent think-tank based in Beijing has scheduled a webinar tomorrow on the theme ‘Building a Shared Destiny in the Neighbourhood Against COVID-19’.
At a time when the COVID-19 pandemic is still spreading, causing severe impact on countries around the world and bringing huge challenges to global health security, it is relevant for China and its neighbouring countries to exchange their experience in containing the virus and working together to build a shared space for the people in the region. The webinar will focus on areas such as experiences and measures that Sri Lanka has taken to address the spread of COVID-19; the economic impact of the pandemic on the BRI; and China-Sri Lanka bilateral relations. Representatives of the academia, health sector, media and other think-tanks will participate in the discussion.
The Chinese representatives will make presentations on the status of the fight against COVID-19 in China, building of the Maritime Silk Road between China and Sri Lanka, China’s foreign policy in the neighbourhood and bilateral relations.
